Paid Teaching Internships

Maths and Physics

We are not currently recruiting for the 2020 internship programme due to the closure of schools as part of the government strategy to reduce the spread of the coronavirus.  However, if you are interested in taking part in 2021 please register your interest below.

We expect  to be able offer paid teaching internships for Maths, Physics and Engineering undergraduates (or related subjects) again in many schools  across England in 2021. They will take place  after the university exams in June / July  2021, as they have done in recent years. You can register your interest in taking part in the programme now by following the link below.

Locations are expected to include:

Widnes, Runcorn, Liverpool, Sefton, Knowsley, St Helens, Halton, Warrington, Wirral, Chester, Cheshire, Manchester, Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley, Halifax, Wakefield and Sowerby Bridge.

 
The Internship Programme

The  programme will likely consist of a 4 week internship in June /July  2021 (after exams) . Interns are paid  £1200 to work with young people in excellent schools to deliver maths and/or Physics projects,  provide tutoring and learn the art of teaching .  All interns  receive training and develop communication and presentation skills that will serve you well in any career you choose to follow.  If you develop an interest in teaching you will be assigned a careers advisor who will support you in applying for scholarships and bursaries of up to £30k tax free to train as a teacher and we will guarantee you an interview to train as a teacher.

To take part you will have good A levels in Maths (and Physics if you want to teach Physics) and you will be following an undergraduate degree course in Mathematics, Physics, engineering or a related subject.

Paid Teaching Internship in other subjects

Paid Teaching Internships may also be available  in June / July 2021 in DONCASTER 

for the following subject areas:

Science

Geography

Design and Technology

English

History

Religious Education

Business Studies

Art and Design

Music

In these subjects you will be paid £400 on completion of a 2 week internship programme
